Impressions of the Golden Gate Bridge. Photography can be very precise an intentional. With digital capture, the “perfect” shot can be created and judged immediately. This series started off as an accidental project. What if I captured the essence of this majestic structure through a rain covered vehicle windshield as I drove over it on my daily commute? The initial results were blurry chaotic compositions that I reviewed hours later. The images may have seemed chaotic, but the PROCESS is what became predictable. The content consistent. Over various deliberate sessions using the same process, a cohesive set of images emerged that resulted in an impressionistic depiction of this Golden Structure.
